Ouse Fen - SNOW BUNTING, first seen in late October, is still present but very elusive. This morning it was feeding on Long Holme Drove - the extension of Fen End Road as you drive out of Over - beyond Sophie's Pool and before you get to the main quarry entrance. ca. TL386730. Long Holme Drove is a public right of way, but obviously keep out of the way of any farm or quarry vehicles and on no account leave the public rights of way and go onto private farmland or into the working quarry area (Richard Thomas).

Knapwell - YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER at the RSPB's working farm this morning (Derek Gruar); but no further sign early afternoon (Mark Hawkes). Parking is in farmyard which is accessed from drive just before flashing 30 mph sign on left, 200 m into village coming from A428 end. Bird has been in large pines by grainstore but ranging as far as the 30mph sign itself - calling quite a lot (Ian Dillon). This is not open to the public and anybody wanting to see the bird should call 01954 267438 before visiting the site.

Late news from Tuesday, 27 September - Cow Lane, Godmanchester - NIGHTJAR hawking over fields between the river and the fishing complex 19:15h. To find the fields where the bird was last seen you need to drive to the very bottom of Cow lane. Park in the car park then head EAST through the gate on to the lower common. Follow the tree line around the fishing complex (at a near right angle bend continue along tree line to north, until you reach a brook. Cross the brook and on your left will be another gate and cow pen. The bird was seen hawking these fields,  TL266721. There are three fields along the river, the centre one being opposite the entrance channel to Hartford Marina. There is a footpath all the way, but please respect any signs that point to private land.  Walking to the viewing area via the middle part of the fishing complex is not allowed.
