SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Burwell/Adventurer's Fen - 4+ Short-eared Owls, Little Owl, Peregrine over (Les Bunyan); 13+ Short-eared Owls, 3+ Barn Owls (Stuart Elsom); ringtail Hen Harrier (Colin Kirtland)

Tubney fen - 10 Short-eared Owls, male Hen Harrier (David Hollin and John Lindsell)

Nene Washes - 8 Cranes reported, 4 Short-eared Owls at Eldernell (Duncan Ritchie)
