SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Maxey Pits - PURPLE HERON over just before 09:00h, also Osprey over, Curlew briefly, 4+ Green Sandpipers, Greenshank, 2 Common Sandpipers, 2 Kingfishers, 3 Hobby, fem Marsh Harrier (MIke Weedon)

Grafham Water - 4 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 Green Sandpiper, Greenshank, Cetti's Warbler, Sanderling, 3 Common Sandpiper, fem Ruddy Shelduck, 3 Little Egret (Mark Hawkes)

Fen Drayton Lakes - 12 Green Sand[pipers, 2 Common Sandpipers, pair of Turtle Doves (Richard Patient)
