SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Grafham Water - 3 juv VELVET SCOTER still, juv Shag, 14 Little Egret, 4 Goosander, Green Sandpiper, Red-crested Pochard, 3+ Yellow-legged Gull, 3 Grey Wagtail (Mark Hawkes, Colin Addington)

Alconbury - Short-eared Owl, Red Kite (Jeff Harrison)

Cam Washes - 24 White-fronted Geese, very wary and diffiuclt to view without disturbing them (Jon & David Heath)
