SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Ouse Washes - 41 EurasianWhite-fronted Geese, Scaup, 650 Black-tailed Godwit, 500 Golden Plover, 22 Crane (Brendan Doe)

Needingworth - 6 Smew (Patrick Woods)

Burwell Fen - 13 White-fronted Geese, ad Mediterranean Gull, 3 Short-eared Owl (Malcolm Ausden)

Eldernell - Dark-bellied Brent Goose, juv Hen Harrier, 7 Crane, 9+ Short-eared Owl (Hugh Wright)
