SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Swaffham Prior Fen - 13 Whote-fronted Geese in the area but mobile (Bruce Martin)

Woodwalton Fen - Bittern, 3 Water Rail, 2 Kingfisher (John Wells & Tom Howson)

Nene Washes - CATTLE EGRET, 3 Crane, Merlin, 5 Stonechat, Barn Owl (Ade Cooper, Steve Cooper, Richard Patient); 10 Short-eared owl at Eldernell (Chris Park)

Ouse Washes - 2 Tundra Bean Geese, 8 White-fronted Geese, 19 Crane, Short-eared Owl, 750 Black-tailed Godwit, Water Pipit, 8 Stonechat, 15 Tree Sparrow (Ade Cooper, Steve Cooper, Richard Patient)

St. Ives - Peregrine on the Free Church (Vic Cozens)
