SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Grafham Water - singing Wood Warbler to north of Littless Hide, Osprey reported (Colin Addington); Red-necked Grebe still (Robin Ward)

Burwell fen - 4 Garganey, Crane, 2 Short-eared Owl, male Whinchat (Steve Cooper)

Fowlmere RSPB - fem Redstart (Ade Cooper)

Wicken Fen - Cuckoo, Hobby (Roger Cresswell)

Trumpington Meadows - Wheatear (Iain Webb)

Maxey - 3 Wheatear, Green Sandpiper at the pits,  Wheatear, 2 Green Sandpiper, Cetti's Warbler along the Cut (Richard Astle)
