SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Paxton Pits - 3 Whinchat, 2 Arctic Tern, Sanderling, 2 Greenshank, Turtle Dove reported near education centre (Jamie Wells); Osprey over west (RBA)

Ouse Washes - 7 Arctic Tern, Grey Plover over north of Witcham Gravel, Whinchat at Great Dams Fen (David hopkins)

Fen Drayton Lakes - Nightingale, 10+ Swift (Luke Wake)

Tubney Fen - 7 Wheatear, Cuckoo (Andy Hannaford)
