SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Fen Drayton Lakes - SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF near kissing gate at east side of Drayton Lagoon, also fem Scaup, Slavonian Grebe; male Scaup on Ferry Mere (Hugh Venables)

Nene Washes - CATTLE EGRET north-east of Eldernell CP; a total of 22 Crane: 17 landed east of Decoy Wood, a pair west of Lords Holt and 3 more north of Decoy Wood (Norman Sills)

Hare Park - 2 Tawny Owl (Kevin Wilson)

Cambridge - Black Redstart at Pembroke College, favouring the library roof (Matt Mellor)
