SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Burwell Fen - Water Pipit, 5 Short-eared Owl, Peregrine, 12 Whooper Swan, 179 Gadwall (Malcolm Ausden)

Colne Fen  - 6 European White-fronted Geese, 4000+ Lapwing, 702 Golden Plover, 22 Whooper Swan, Woodcock, 24 Dunlin (Steve Cooper)

Southey Wood - c.30 Brambling (Matt Webb)
