SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Fen Drayton Lakes - Slavonian Grebe on Drayton Lagoon, Great White Egret, 2 Jack Snipe, 27 Little Egret (Mike Everett)

Burwell fen - GREAT GREY SHRIKE towards Pout Hall (Andy Hannaford)

Ouse Washes - 21 Crane distantly from Churchmans Hide, also c.1000 Whooper Swan with  a few Bewick's Swan in fields around Byall Fen Farm (Ian Dawson); 9 White-fronted Geese, 142 Ruff from Stevens Hide (Mike Burdekin)

Nene Washes - CATTLE EGRET at Eldernell before moving to Low Wash late afternoon (Charlie Kitchin)
