SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Fowlmere - fem NORTHERN BULLFINCH reported between reception and Drewer Hide 10:40h (as per rarebirdalert.com)

Woodwalton Fen - Bittern, 3 Short-eared Owl, male Hen Harrier, Bearded Tit, 2 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Woodcock (Ron Harold)

Eldernell - 4 Short-eared Owl, c.20 Crane, ringtail Hen Harrier also 4 Pink-footed Geese at March Farmers (Paul Taylor)
