SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Ouse Fen - c1200 Golden Plover, Merlin, 4+ Pintail, Dunlin, 3+ Little Egret, 25+ Corn Bunting (Mark Hawkes)

Fen Drayton - Bearded Tit, Green Sandpiper, Barn Owl, Cetti's Warbler (Hugh Venables)

Fowlmere - 1550 Golden plover in the field opposite the reserve (Doug Radford)

Upton Wood - 2-3 Crossbill heading south (Rich Broughton)
