SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Aldreth - 3CY male PALLID HARRIER flew south at 06:45h (Jonathan Taylor); and present viewed from bridge over Old West river until 07:30h (Ian Barton, Kathleen Rosewarne).

Willingham - Juvenile MONTAGU'S HARRIER flew SE from Tibbets Farm at 08:05h (per rarebirdalert.com)

Earith - COMMON CRANE in flight at 14:30h only 1 mile NE of village, south of B1381 (Jonathan Dean).

Fen Drayton Lakes - Turnstone over north, 4 Egyptian Geese, 2 Green Sandpipers (Gavin Paterson)

Stilton Golf Course - Whinchat (Janet Drake)

Waterbeach - Swift (David Heath)
