SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Grafham Water - juv GANNET until mid-morning at least, but very mobile. Also 3 Little Gulls, drake Scaup, 4 Little Egrets, Green Sandpiper (Mark Hawkes)

Sutton Gault - 4 GLOSSY IBIS still present on flooded field to north of Anchor pub 11:40h (David Hollin); to roost at 19:16h (Duncan Ritchie)

Isleham water meadows - Greenshank, 2 Green Sandpipers, 39 Snipe, Hobby (Owen Marks)

Kingfishers Bridge - GREAT WHITE EGRET (Duncan Poyser)
