SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Nene washes - 2000 Black-tailed Godwit, several colour-ringed, from Eldernell plus 3 Sand Martin, several Marsh Harrier (Robin Ward)

Fen drayton Lakes - 3cy Mediterranean Gull, Swallow, 92 Black-tailed Godwit (Robin Ward); also Black-necked Grebe, 26m 39f Goldeneye, 32 Pochard (Colin Kirtland); 3 smew (1m 2f) and Stonechat (Sarah Howlett)

Cambridge - Woodcock in a Thoday St garden (Viv Connor, David Dunne)

Ouse Washes - SPOONBILL, White-fronted Goose, Scaup (Brendan Doe)
