SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Whittlesey, Kings Dyke - juv AMERICAN HERRING GULL on skip at McCain Factory, no pubic access (Kevin Du Rose). Potentially viewable from TL237975. From A605 walk NNW along Funthams Lane for 1/2 mile. Keep to footpaths.

Ouse Washes - 3rd win GLAUCOUS GULL, 1st win ICELAND GULL, Caspian Gull (Jonathan Taylor)

Burwell Fen - 3 Crane, c.225 olden Plover (Martin O'Leary)
