SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Fowlmere - 2 ringtail Hen Harriers (Matthew Mellor)

Isleham Wash - 46 Avocets, 102 Teal, 2 Shoveler and 2 Egyptian Geese (Colin Kirtland)

Cam Washes - Spotted Redshank still on Waterbeach side, feeding with 21 Redshanks and a Green Sandpiper (David and Jon Heath)

Paxton Pits - 20 Goosander (Bill Simmonds)
