SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Grafham Water - Bittern, 5 Little Egrets, 3 Yellow-legged Gulls, 4 Smew, 13+ Goosanders (Mark Hawkes, Colin Addington)

Barford Pocket Park - Bittern, Cetti's Warbler, 3 Water Rails, Goosander (Stuart & Jill Elsom)

Monks Wood - Red Kite, 2 Buzzards, Woodcock (Stuart & Jill Elsom)

Paxton Pits - Goldeneye (Graham Moates); 9 Pink-footed Geese briefly, 6 Smew,  Barn Owl, Buzzard, 3 Siskins (Martin Davis, Jamie Wells)
