Ouse Washes RSPB - SQUACCO HERON on the
Pilot Project, fields 8-9 (west of the main Ouse Washes) close to the
railway (c4.5km from VC). Please do not venture beyond the
gate where there are cows and calves and a bull grazing. Can be viewed from
Steven's hide, although distant, and up to the gate. The cattle had got through the gate overnight; please be extra vigilant in making sure all gates are shut and secured with the chains provided. Thankyou! (Mike Burdekin)
March Farmers - 4 SPOONBILL, 2 male Garganey, 30+ Little Egret (Phil Jackman)
Ouse Washes - Spotted Crake singing at dusk c.400m south of Chain Corner, TL413775 (Mark Eaton)
