Park here, walk about 400m along the track. The shrike was in the field on the left after the small wood (Watts Wood). Mostly perched in the hedge at the back of the field but twice flew to the hedge next to the track, giving close views (Mike Crosby)

Then walk west along station road and take the footpath at (TL540574). Walk north-west towards the Common. The Woodchat Shrike has been favouring the hawthorn scrub in the north-west corner of the Common (TL532577).
