Ellington - GREAT GREY SHRIKE n hedgerow east of Grafham Road though elusive. Take footpath from Green Lane, Ellington, down to field then east along field edge to valley bottom and stream/farm track. Bird near pylon but very mobile. Farmer has asked visitors to keep to footpaths (Tim Rea)

Fen Drayton Lakes - 2 Great White Egret, Black-necked Grebe (Bill Simmonds)

Ouse Washes - 41 cranes including 5 juveniles west of the rail crossing; with others known to be elsewhere in the Fens, the Fens total is now about 52 (Norman Sills)

Burwell Fen - Short-eared Owl, Barn Owl, Bearded Tit, Green Sandpiper (CVhristoph Zöckler)
