SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Colne Fen GP - 2 redhead Smew, Green Sandpiper (Steve Cooper)

Cottenham - 6+ Caspian Gull in the area (Brendan Doe)

Grafham Water - Red-Necked Grebe, 2 Great Northern Divers (Mark Hawkes); fem Common Scoter, 8 Goosander (Mark Ward)

Fen Drayton - Short-eared Owl (Richard Allison); male and 2 redhead Smew (Luke Wake)

Yaxely - 2 WAXWING in a private garden (Andy Frost)
