SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Kingfishers Bridge - Garganey, 5 Green Sandpiper, Golden Plover (Christoph Zöckler)

Cam Washes - Little Stint, 29+ Ringed Plover, 20 Snipe, also Redstart in hedgerow to the south-west (Jon Heath)

Ouse Fen - 3 Whinchat, 2 Bearded Tit (Mark Brandon)

Witcham - Turtle Dove at end of Silver Street (Ian Dickerson)

Grafham Water - Mediterranean Gull (James Hanlon); Red-crested Pochard (Colin Addington); 5 Caspian Gull, 28 Yellow-legged Gull, Osprey and the Azorean-type Gull (Mark Ward)
