SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Friday, 15 January

Fen Drayton Lakes - SERIN at NW corner of Elney briefly 09:22h before heading towards bus stop area, calling in flight (Mark Hawkes et al.); both birds showed well at the busway edge for ten minutes at 10:50h & 11:10h (Ade Cooper). Please do not approach these birds too closely, they show well if not disturbed.
