SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Guyhirn - NIGHT HERON in flight along River Nene by A47 1.5 miles north-east of the village (as per rarebirdalert.com)

Fen Drayton Lakes - at least 6 Bitterns, imm. male LONG-TAILED DUCK still, 3 Smew, 3 Goosanders (Jacqui Miller et al.)
