SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Ouse Fen - 1st summer male RED-FOOTED FALCON in the area mid-morning. Park at end of Fen End near the cattle pens and take footpath across field to view from track (birdguides.com)

Fen Drayton Lakes - Bittern in flight, Black Tern, Cetti's Warbler, Turtle Dove, 4 Little Egrets (John Le Gassick)

Paxton Pits, Meadow Trail - Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 2 Turtle Doves (Stuart & Jill Elsom)
