SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Grafham Water - 7 Sanderlings on dam early afternoon (Colin Addington); this evening one Sanderling remains, also moulting male SCAUP in lagoons, juv Mediterranean Gull off lagoons, 4+ Green Sandpipers, 6+ Avocets, 2 Common Sandpipers, 5+ Little Egrets,, 5+ Yellow-legged Gulls (Mark Hawkes)

Paxton Pits - Whimbrel over, 11 Common Sandpipers, Green Sandpiper, 3 Little Egrets (Jamie Wells)

Fowlmere - 2 Garganeys from 21:20h (Gavin Ryan)

Wansford - Red Kite over A1/A47 junction c. 11:00h (Anna Mcoustra)
