SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Wicken Fen - 9 Little Egrets, Great Crested Grebe on Baker's Fen (Alan Wadsworth)

Maxey GPs - ad Mediterranean Gull, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 4 Ringed Plovers, 3 Green Sandpipers (John Saunders)

Cambridge - 4 Buzzards over Peterhouse (Daniel Osborne); 100+ Golden Plover near the A10/M11 junction this evening (Peter Bircham)
