SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS

This is a request, please, to start looking out for birds now, and to let me know immediately you see one, whether ringed or not, at: spofl@cambridgebirdclub.org.uk

Our highest priority target, which we need to catch, are the geolocator-tagged birds with red metal rings. We need to download the tag data to see where the birds have been. Second in importance are our un-tagged controls, with blue metal rings. There will also be birds around which we have ringed as nestlings; these will just have an uncoloured silver metal ring.

Folksworth - male RING OUZEL along Morborne Road 07:00h (Brian Stone) 3 male and a female RING OUZEL present this lunchtime (Kevan Wolstencroft)

Ely, Roswell Pits - RING OUZEL 12:45h (Robin Henderson); 2, possibly 3, RING OUZEL this evening (Duncan Poyser)

Marholm - male RING OUZEL by Woodcroft Road between the village and Etton with c.200 Fieldfares; just north of the line of pylons by the bend in the road heading towards Woodcroft Castle if coming from Marholm (Josh Jones)

Ouse Washes - 3 pairs of Garganey, Cetti's Warbler, c.30 Little Egrets, 300 Black-tailed Godwits, 15 Ruff (Paul Harrington)

Paxton Pits - Red Kite over, Curlew, Greenshank, 5 Little Ringed Plover, 4 Wheatear, White Wagtail, 2 Yellow Wagtail, Buzzard (Martin Davis)

Marsh Lane GP - Hobby over west, 5+ Nightingales (Mike Everett)
